Avandad Apartment: A Modern Design with Luxurious Italian Stones

Creating a Balance Between Tranquility and Self-Realization

The inspiration behind the Avandad Apartment lies in the concept of stones as a veil. Instead of using rocks explicitly, the designers opted for clear skins that showcase the effects of the stones. The white skins, acting as external shells and veils, give the design a fragile appearance, as if the igneous rocks inside are trying to break free.

What sets the Avandad Apartment apart is its ability to combine modern luxuries with regional conditions. While the employer desired a modern form with luxurious elements, the designers took into account the existing designs in Iran and aimed to create a space that stands out. The intelligent use of Italian stones not only grabs attention but also contributes to the overall design pattern of the apartment.

The Avandad Apartment is realized using a combination of materials, including Stone Wood, Crema Delicato Stone, Bronze Amani Stone, Azul Macaubas Stone, Onice fantastic, Sequoia Brown Stone, Magma Gold Stone, Irish Green Stone, Stainless Steel, Knauf tile, and Stainless steel.

The main purpose of the design is to create a contrast between tranquility and self-realization. By cleverly using the white crust and its defects against the igneous stones, the designers aim to achieve a sense of counterbalance. The Avandad Apartment is located in the Elahieh area of Tehran and the design project began in the spring of 2017, with an expected completion date in the summer of 2019.

One of the main challenges faced during the design process was finding a balance between tranquility and self-realization. The use of a base white color alongside the warmth of the stones was carefully executed to ensure that neither element overpowered the other.

The Avandad Apartment has been recognized for its exceptional design and was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2018 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing practicality, innovation, and integration of industry best practices.
